This tasty honey, crafted by Jaxon and Katie at Honeybee & Co is a delicious blend of mānuka and rewarewa.
The honeybees started the season near Omanawa, Bay of Plenty where they foraged on rewarewa trees. Later in the season, they were then moved to Taranaki, where they collected nectar from mānuka bushes.
During harvest, these two honeys were blended to create the culinary delight that we have here. Gather around foodies, for this is a treat not to be missed!
Rewarewa is the native New Zealand honeysuckle. Renowned for producing a very sweet, caramel-like honey when foraged on, these trees grow up to 30m tall and flourish around low elevation and valley forests in the North Island and Marlborough Sounds.
